DEPOSIT and cancellation policy
$500.00 per person, non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is due upon booking. “Non-transferable” means deposits apply to the original dates booked and may not be applied or transferred toward a future reservation. Balance is due 60 days prior to arrival. Cancellations made before the final payment will result in forfeited deposits. Cancellations made within 60 days of scheduled arrival will result in forfeiture of all deposits and payments.
Due to the nature of this business, we are unable to make exceptions to this policy. We understand that unfortunate circumstances arise and some trips may be cancelled due to unforeseen illness, death, injury, scheduling conflicts or other forces of nature. For this reason, we encourage guests to purchase trip insurance.
In the event of a late ice-out and Pine Cliff Lodge is unable to open during the first week of season, reservations may be moved to a later date in the same season, based on availability. Deposits may not be transferred to a future year.
A word from your hosts...
We do not delight in keeping payments for cancelled trips – we delight FULFILLING fishing trips! The hardest part about this business is that it IS a business. While we work on Pine Cliff year-round, we only have 19 weeks to host guests. As you know, this trip is an investment that is typically planned a year in advance and is not merely a weekend getaway that is easy to schedule or pay for last-minute. This makes cancellations hard to fill. Every scheduled guest is accounted for before we open our doors to operate each season. We set the Pine Cliff budget, hire employees/contractors and plan summer projects/improvements based on guest numbers. Each no-show is a big deal. That being said, we understand that life happens and unforeseen circumstances are unavoidable. For this reason, we encourage you to purchase trip insurance if you can’t risk losing your deposit/payments. We too cannot risk losing your deposit/payments.
Our goal is to continually pursue excellence, improve your experience, and host you for years to come. Our deposit/cancellation policy is a safeguard to ensure we are able to accomplish just that.
