We’ll give you all of our expert knowledge in detail upon your arrival. But for now, here’s a snapshot:

  • In early Spring, whitefish migrate to rivers and streams to feed on pike and sucker eggs

  • Fish the river with 4lb. test line, tiny hooks and a single salmon egg, grub, Berkley Power Dough or waxworm (bait of choice) and a small float

  • Float bait downstream over deeper pools behind gravel spawning beds

“Tiny” is the name of the game. With small, tender mouths (about the diameter of a thumb), whitefish fishing requires very small hooks and minnows or jigs. Recommendations include:

  • Small hooks and jigs

  • Waxworms

  • Salmon eggs

  • Grubs

  • Berlkey Power Dough
