YELLOW PERCH FISHING

We have yellow perch fishing in Sandybeach Lake.  The yellow perch fishing is in 6 feet of water or less at or Ontario fishing lodge.  Guests have caught their limit right off the dock, drifting the bay out from the dock, and out from the pencil grass growing along shorelines. Yellow perch fishing techniques include live bait fishing a night crawler under a cork, casting jigs with plastic grubs, and casting marabou jigs.  The perch at our Ontario fishing lodge are referred to as "Jumbos", because 11" to 14" yellow perch are common.

WHITEFISH FISHING

We have whitefish fishing in Sandybeach Lake.  Lake whitefish and river whitefish are the two species and our Ontario fishing lodge has the lake species.  Our guests have the opportunity to catch whitefish in the 5 to 10 pound range.  Whitefish have a small sucker-looking mouth about the diameter of your thumb.  Anglers use lures small enough to fit in the whitefish’s small mouth.  Whitefish fishing is 50 to 60 feet down in the deep water of Sandybeach Lake.  The guests at our Ontario fishing lodge will jig or troll in whitefish fishing.
