FISHING LICENSES

While fishing in Ontario, you are required to have a Non-Canadian Resident Outdoors Card and an Ontario Fishing License.  The Non-Canadian Resident Outdoors Card, implemented in 2009, is $9.00 ($9.68 beginning July 1) and valid for 3 years. 

If you fished or hunted in Ontario in 2009, and have not yet received your outdoors card in the mail, call the Ministry of Natural Resources immediately at 1-800-387-7011 to inquire on the status of your card.  If you do not bring this card with you, you will be required to purchase a new card.

The fishing licenses are as follows:

$44.50 May and June
$47.89 beginning July 1
8-day regular license - possession limits of 4 northern (under 27 1/2"), 2 lake trout (under 28") and 4 walleye (under 18")

$25.75 May and June
$27.71 beginning July 1
8-day conservation license - possession limits of 2 northern (under 27 1/2"), 1 lake trout (under 28") and 2 walleye (under 18")

$69.50 May and June
$74.79 beginning July 1
Seasonal regular license - possession limits of 4 northern (under 27 1/2"), 2 lake trout (under 28") and 4 walleye (under 18")

$42.75 May and June
$46.00 beginning July 1
Seasonal conservation license - possession limits of 2 northern (under 27 1/2"), 1 lake trout (under 28") and 2 walleye (under 18")

These prices are in Canadian dollars and will be converted to US dollars at the exchange rate in effect at the time of your arrival.  Rates increase July 1 because of Ontario government implementing a Harmonized Sales Tax.  All licenses can be purchased upon your arrival at Pine Cliff Lodge.
