While fishing in Ontario, you are required to have a Non-Canadian Resident Outdoors Card and an Ontario Fishing License. The Non-Canadian Resident Outdoors Card, implemented in 2009, is $9.68 and valid for 3 years.
If you fished or hunted in Ontario since 2009, and have not yet received your outdoors card in the mail, call the Ministry of Natural Resources immediately at 1-800-387-7011 to inquire on the status of your card. If you do not bring this card with you, you will be required to purchase a new card. To renew expired outdoor cards click here
The fishing licenses are as follows:
$50.15 - 8-day regular sport license - possession limits of 4 northern (under 27 1/2"), 2 lake trout (under 28") and 4 walleye (under 18")
$28.84 - 8-day conservation license - possession limits of 2 northern (under 27 1/2"), 1 lake trout (under 28") and 2 walleye (under 18")
$78.18 - Seasonal regular sport license - possession limits of 4 northern (under 27 1/2"), 2 lake trout (under 28") and 4 walleye (under 18")
$48.26 - Seasonal conservation license - possession limits of 2 northern (under 27 1/2"), 1 lake trout (under 28") and 2 walleye (under 18")
